I did this piece shortly after my iBot illustration. I rarely draw robots so I wanted to experiment. At first I was going to have the robot inside an iMac or an iPhone. It didn't go that way though because I wanted to make the device more generic. The addition of the motherboard was last minute. I wanted to have it look as abstract as possible to contrast the slightly more realistic Android.
