This painting was inspired by a photo I took a few months ago while I was walking The High Line in Manhattan. I've always had a thing for fire escapes so it seemed only right to include one in this series. It was done in a few stages. The windows were first, followed by the bricks and then the fire escape itself. Showing the weathering of the bricks was arduous and I estimated the perspective instead of measuring every little thing. Created in Brushes 3 for iPad.
