I took the reference photo for this painting while riding around with my friend a few months ago. It just captured the feeling of excitement I had of traveling somewhere with an old friend. Painting this was very complicated. I had to consider the perspective of the car window, the rear view mirrors and the buildings too. Still I wanted a painterly look despite all of the technical pieces involved. I really get the best of both worlds with the Nomad Compose. It has attachments that allow for fine illustrations and broad brush strokes. Created in Sketchbook Pro for iPad.
