Yesterday was Rose's Birthday and I wanted to paint her something special. I hadn't done a portrait of her in a while so that's what I decided on. Rose got accepted into Columbia recently. She's going to be shooting for her MSW (Master of Social Work.) Things have been rough because she's also balancing work. Having this in mind I came up with a homage to Rosie The Riveter. This iconic image was perfect for what I wanted to accomplish. After seeing my Lightning painting Rose insisted that her next portrait also be in ArtRage. Happy Birthday, Rose!
